Spring is the perfect time to refresh our homes. We’ve rounded up 10 ways to update your space for this next season. From room ideas to smaller changes, there really is something to treasure in all of the details.
Declutter
First things first. While most of us have been home more than ever for over a year now- we’ve made things quite.. comfortable around us. Now is the perfect time to take inventory of what you’re going to #treasure and what you’re going to #toss going into the next season. Empty space is not wasted space. It allows us room to not only breathe but appreciate the elements that remain. So take a few breaths, put on your favorite playlist, and get decluttering.
Revamp Your Entryway
Our entryway is (generally) the first point of contact each time we walk into our home. It can play a huge factor in our mood once we’ve walked through those doors. Having an organized, beautiful entryway can allow us a sense of relief and relaxation. Here are our top tips for creating an entryway that sets the tone:
Our First Aid Box is a great way to keep gear close when heading out the door. Bandaids and bug spray are tucked neatly away!
Woven Boxes allow you to host everyone’s keys or even cell phones when coming in the door.
Keep dog treats close with these Glass Jars, the perfect addition to shelving or cubbies.
2. Keep it functional
3. Make it yours. Add a personal touch so that it feels like you!
Lighten a Space Up by Removing Layers
Through winter we found ourselves wanting to ‘cozy up’ our homes. A great way to shift some energy for spring is to peel back a few of those layers. Think rugs or heavy blankets. Enjoy your hardwood floors!

Repurpose Pieces you Have
Moving items to a different room can be a game-changer. It’s a quick way to make something feel new and make a space feel fresh! Get creative. Textiles, accent chairs, lighting, decor.. It’s all fair game. Take inventory of what you have and play with different options.
Swap Your Throw Pillows
This is by far one of the simplest ways to refresh a space. I do this for all 4 seasons (5 if you count Christmas!). Consider adding a subtle (or not!) pop of color. Of course the colors selected will be different for everyone depending on your existing theme and preference but moving toward a brighter, lighter palette feels really fresh and aligned with Spring.

Switch Your Art
Something that is often forgotten. With the changing of the seasons comes a change in our energy, priorities, activities, and so forth. Our wall art should be a reflection of that.
Update Your Cookware
With the warmer weather we may find ourselves cooking more, using the grill, and entertaining close friends and family. And after a year of eating at home more often, you’ve earned a little refresh in this area regardless of the season. Treat yourself to some quality pieces that not only make cooking at home easier, but add beauty to your kitchen.

While We’re At It.. Add new Tableware
That creamy tuscan pasta you’ve perfected this year? It tastes even better when it’s gorgeously plated! Turn the presentation up a notch with a refreshed tablescape or dinnerware set.
Sprinkle in Bright Colors
This can be done with any of the steps listed above. You’ll be surprised how quickly our mood and energy lifts when we add a touch of brightness to our homes, especially this time of year.
Add Plants
Who says they have to be real? Faux or living, opt for whichever suits you. Plants are a great way to make a space feel welcoming and ‘spring cozy’. Have fun with it!
